We are honored to acknowledge the remarkable achievements of Samaiden Group and Nestcon Bhd in securing awards under the Large Scale Solar 5 (LSS5) program. These successes reflect their dedication to advancing renewable energy initiatives and contributing to Malaysia’s sustainable future.

“Standing out as one of the successful bidders marks an important milestone for Samaiden and highlights our ability to execute large-scale RE projects,” said Samaiden managing director Datuk Chow Pui Hee.
Samaiden Group Berhad’s subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn Bhd, has been selected to develop a 99.99 MW Large Scale Solar Photovoltaic Plant in Pasir Mas, Kelantan. Their ability to meet the rigorous requirements of the LSS5 program’s Package 3 category (30 MW to 500 MW) highlights their expertise in delivering impactful renewable energy projects. This solar plant, backed by a 21-year Solar Power Purchase Agreement with Tenaga Nasional Bhd, is expected to be operational by October 11, 2027, further strengthening Malaysia’s clean energy capacity.
Nestcon Bhd has also made significant strides, being selected by the Energy Commission of Sabah to develop Large Scale Solar Photovoltaic Plants with a capacity of 14.99 MWac in Kimanis and 4.00 MWac in Tawau, Sabah. These projects emphasize Nestcon’s growing influence in the renewable energy sector and its commitment to creating meaningful contributions to the nation’s energy goals.
Throughout the LSS5 submission process, both Samaiden and Nestcon showcased a collaborative and forward-thinking approach, supported by their highly skilled teams. At Darryl, Edward & Co., we had the opportunity to assist in reviewing and refining key documentation to meet the program’s requirements. Working alongside these accomplished teams provided valuable insights into their vision and the meticulous planning behind their success.
Datuk Ir. Chow Pui Hee, Samaiden’s managing director, expressed how this milestone aligns with their broader strategic goals of asset expansion and environmental stewardship. Similarly, Nestcon’s recognition underscores their capability to deliver high-impact renewable energy solutions that support Malaysia’s transition towards a greener future.
These milestones are a testament to the resilience and commitment of both Samaiden and Nestcon in advancing renewable energy projects that will benefit generations to come. Their achievements set a benchmark for innovation and collaboration within the industry.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Samaiden Group Bhd and Nestcon Bhd. It has been a privilege to support them on their journey, and we look forward to seeing their continued contributions to the renewable energy landscape.
